Wild Goose Brews Up Chesapeake’s Own

Established in 1989 the Wild Goose Brewery in Cambridge, MD is a throwback to the days of old when small breweries were located throughout America and produced beers of character and distinction. Using the unique Ringwood Ale Yeast, Wild Goose specializes in brewing traditional English inspired Ales.

Located in the old Phillips Packing Co. plant, the brewery began production in October 1989. Production quickly grew to 20,000 BBL by 1996 as Wild Goose became one of the largest micro-breweries in the Mid-Atlantic. In December of 1997 Wild Goose Brewery moved its production from Cambridge, MD to Frederick, MD when Wild Goose merged with the Frederick Brewing Company and other local craft beers in an effort to expand by consolidating production and distribution resources.

Today, Wild Goose Brewery is still pumping out beer in the 150,000 BLL Frederick, MD facilities which has been recently renamed Wild Goose Brewery after 8 years under the Frederick Brewing Company name. Wild Goose is available in four different styles that can be found year round, including IPA, Amber, Oatmeal Stout and Nut brown as well as two popular seasonal, Pumpkin Patch and Snow Goose. The Wild Goose brands are distributed in five states across the Mid-Atlantic region.
